Simon (Sam) Maney (MInstLM)
I am the Owner of Aurora Training and Security Solutions. I formed the Company in 2012 on the Training side and have developed the Security and Event Medical aspects of the business.
I spent 22 years in the Royal Air Force, as a Policeman, engaged on Nuclear Security Duties and General Policing duties, and in the last 12 years of my service I was employed as investigator within the Special Investigations Branch, responsible to the Station Commander for all criminal investigations within the Unit.
In 2008, I left the Air Force to join Humberside Police, where I served at Scunthorpe Police Station as a Custody Officer before re-joining the Military as a member of the Military Provost Guard Service, responsible for control of entry, issuing of passes and foot and mobile patrols of the sites.
During my service I have obtained qualifications which I still use today such as my Home Office qualified Crime Reduction Officer.
I am a qualified SIA Close Protection Operative and a Level 2 General Purpose Dog Handler under NASDU (National Association of Security Dog Users).
