Paediatric First Aid Course (2 Days). Course dates available on request.

This course provides delegates with a Paediatric First Aid Qualification which is mandatory requirement in the Early Years Apprenticeship Framework for ‘Childminding’ NVQ. This course has been designed to comply with the NCMA guidelines and meets Ofsted requirements.

This course is for people working with younger children under the age of 8 years old or working towards an NVQ in Childcare and Education or Nursery Workers, including:

Who Should Attend?

• Childminders/Nannies

• Au pairs/Parents

• Teachers/Classroom assistants

• Playgroup assistants

Course Content

Topics include the role and responsibilities of the paediatric first-aider and providing first aid for an infant or a child who is unresponsive. The qualification also covers how to administer first aid to an infant or a child with head and spinal injuries, who is choking or suffering from anaphylaxis.
