A Level 2 Award for Security Officers in the Private Security Industry is required by law for an individual to apply for an SIA-licence to work as a Security Officer.
The objective of the course is to develop the learner's understanding of the roles and responsibilities of Security Officers working in the private security industry and the relevance of regulations within which they must operate. To develop the learner's knowledge of health and safety in the work place including awareness of emergency procedures, conducting effective searches as well as many other skills required to perform the task of a Security Officer.
The Level 2 Award for Security Officers has these three mandatory units:
UNIT 1 - Working in the Private Security Industry.
UNIT 2 - Working as a Security Officer.
UNIT 3 - Conflict Management for the Private Security Industry.
